Four old friends in a book club read *Fifty Shades of Grey,* and are inspired to ramp up their sex lives. The women, played by Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, and Mary Steenburgen, are all in their sixties and in various stages of widowhood, divorce, dating, and long-term marriage. The fact that Hollywood made a movie like this is encouraging, and it is fun to watch, although the deepest it gets is a brief foray into adult children freakout when mom rediscovers sex. On a personal level, I saw this movie when I was involved with an erotic writing group for older women, and found myself wishing these ladies had switched from reading books to writing them. That would make quite a sequel.
